Proposed changes to community health services in South Devon and Torbay, agreed following last year’s consultation, are now being implemented. We believe that the changes will deliver better health outcomes, support more people and use scarce resources more effectively, so we want to end uncertainty and implement the changes speedily, ensuring continuity of care and patient safety remains paramount.
Details of the changes agreed by the CCG’s governing body at its meeting on 26 January, including what they will be in each of the main towns, are available in our January news release, here, and stakeholder briefing, here.
The latest stakeholder briefing (7 March 2017), summarising the progress being made by Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust in meeting the parameters required before the changes to community services can be implemented, is here.
All the consultation material remains available and for ease of reference:
Keeping in touch with NHS service changes in Devon
Many people signed up to receive the CCG consultation stakeholder briefing. Now that most of the changes are being implemented, Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust will take responsibility for communicating progress.
In addition, we will be issuing updates on other changes that might be taking place within the NHS in Devon, such as the acute services review currently underway as part of the five-year Devon-wide Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP).
If you want to receive updates or be invited to stakeholder/public meetings on evolving NHS services, please give us your authority to share your contact details with NHS colleagues by completing the pro forma, here, and emailing it to firstname.lastname@example.org or posting it to the CCG’s communications team at Pomona House, Oak View Close, Torquay, TQ2 7FF. You can also call the communications team via our switchboard number of 01803 652 500.
